+ My first day at Norbella was the first day of Norbella!

It’s crazy to think of how much has changed since my first day at Norbella. I started as the first intern and the 5th employee to squeeze myself into our one room office on the 3rd floor of Plympton St. It was nothing like a modern day at Norbella, but the vibe is nearly the same. We were excited, eager and ready to get our hands dirty, literally. I spent most of my first day organizing files and setting up the office or should I say…small room.

+ Being 21 was the best thing in the world.

When I first started at Norbella, I had just turned 21. It was bad enough being one of the last of my friends to become legal, but at Norbella it just wouldn’t have worked. How else was I going to bond with my new co-workers without a beer in hand? And a much nicer beer than I was used to nonetheless!

+ I learned more in my first few days at Norbella than I could ever expect.

Despite being an advertising major in college, I really had no idea what the media world was all about. By the end of my first day, I had a pretty good sense and was eager to keep learning. I also had a little bit of a leg up during my media class in college that semester!

+ So much has changed!

5 years later, so much has changed at Norbella and in the media world in general. I don’t even think I had an iPhone on my first day at Norbella (I know crazy, right?!) I remember pulling online reports from a mini laptop and reporting only about CTR’s—we’ve come so far!

+ Norbella is what you make it.

Not everyone has the luxury of being able to take a job and make immediate decisions on your path. I knew on my first day that my experience at Norbella was going to be what I would make of it. And that is probably why I’m still here 5 years later!
