“We’ve begun to raise daughters more like sons … but few have the courage to raise our sons more like our daughters.”  ―  Gloria Steinem

Today we celebrate National Women’s Equality Day. It was only in 1920 that Women gained the right to vote in the United States, and in 1972 that equality, by law, should not be denied in the US on account of sex—this was less than fifty years ago. Since the 70’s women have continued to fight for equal pay, educational equality, and equal opportunity and although we’ve come a long way, the conversation is still going. It is important to discuss women’s equality with our children– these are our future presidents, executives, teachers, nurses, and more, and they will grow up with more and more opportunities for women than existed in the past. As a woman owned business run by our president Steph Noris, we take today to honor our Female leaders, and support the future leaders to come. We asked Norbella mothers and fathers what their daughters aspire to be when they grow up, to encourage and perpetuate the conversation of women’s equality:
