5 Brands We Want to Reach Out and Hug

February 23, 2017

It’s 2017 and brand loyalty is everything. It has become increasingly important for consumers to choose their brand relationships wisely… especially given our current political climate. Purchasing habits have become yet another way to make a statement. Many do not want to spend money on brands they don’t feel passionately about, and consumers are going as far as to criticize others for their retail choices. At Norbella we love a brand with a good story, and these five stories and missions make us want to reach out and give them a hug:

5 Brands We Want to Hug-01We love the bedrock of Warby Parker’s mission- that everybody has the right to see. Their mission statement says “almost one billion people worldwide lack access to glasses, which means that 15% of the world’s population cannot effectively learn or work.” Warby Parker found a solution by partnering with non-profits like VisionSpring to ensure that for every pair of glasses sold, a pair is given to someone in need.

5 Brands We Want to Hug-02 Bombas are socks with a mission. Not only are the socks super stylish, but one pair purchased is one pair donated to those in need. The company acknowledged that socks are the number one requested item at homeless shelters, and found a solution. 5 Brands We Want to Hug-03Health and wellness is extremely important to us at Norbella, and it is to Stone and Skillet as well. The muffins are all natural, and are made right here in good ‘ole Boston. And, they’re DELICIOUS… it’s safe to say our entire office is obsessed. 5 Brands We Want to Hug-04One thing people from Boston love, is to talk about all things Boston… in this case, it’s Lord Hobo Brewing Company. You can go take a tour of their ‘modest castle’ in Woburn, and even test a prototype beer. It’s that local input and customer value that made us fall in love! 5 Brands We Want to Hug-05BANGS shoes had us at first slogan: Your Adventure Helps Others Find Theirs. The shoe company invests 20% of net profits in helping people start businesses in 60 different countries around the world. Their mission is to help people help themselves, while also impacting sustainable change. We can get behind making the world a better place!
